When is it time to move on?
I've been in the principalship eight years now. I sent my first four years working in a very small district. In my last year there the board of education was clearly running the superintendent out. I made a choice to continue to work for the superintendent and not individual board members. That choice certainly did not endear me to the board. So, when the superintendent left I chose to leave also.

'OVERWHELMING' RESPONSE TO FILM PACKAGE
Film and television producers have already sent in 80 scripts for review for production in Michigan, and Jan Lockwood, director of the Michigan Film Office, said Tuesday that her office is being overwhelmed with calls from executives in Los Angeles, New York, London and Canada.
The activity actually started just before Governor Jennifer Granholm signed the film package on Monday but Ms. Lockwood said it is more than just getting scripts and taking phone calls.
America's Forgotten Middle-Skill Jobs
The demand for workers to fill jobs in the middle of the labor market—those that require more than high-school, but less than a four-year degree—will likely remain quite robust relative to its supply, especially in key sectors of the economy. Accordingly, we see a need for increased U.S. investment in high-quality education and training in the middle of the skills range—not just for college graduates in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.
