$2M in Title II PD Grants Available Until 8/10

The MDE is funding Title II, Part A, Teacher and Leader Instruction Support Competitive Grant Program now through Aug. 10. This is a significant opportunity to receive high-quality professional development at a minimal expense to the district. MASSP has a number of high-quality programs that are approved for these grants, including:

Mentoring & Coaching

  • Mentoring and Executive Coaching - Goal-Focused Leadership:
    In this customized experience, a mentor coach works with an individual to evaluate current status, set goals, support implementation and progress monitor over time. Learn more.

  • Admin's Mentoring Through Coaching Institute: A training that prepares participants to provide mentoring and coaching to individual leaders to help grow their leadership skills and practice. Learn more.

  • Teacher's Mentoring Through Coaching Institute: Focused on developing the expertise of novice teachers, participants learn the role of a mentor and how to navigate the nuances of adult learners. Learn more.

Best Practices

  • Clinicals: Administrators hone their observation and feedback skills within an applied setting. Learn more.

  • Targeted Feedback Institute: Supporting principals, teachers and central office leaders in learning the skills for giving feedback and creating a culture that centers on growth of teacher practice and improvement of student learning. Learn more.

Certification

  • Path to Leadership: The state's only alternative route to earning a PK-12 administrator certificate through a program developed by principals, for principals. Learn More.

5D+ Framework

  • 5D+ Framework Training:A state-approved framework training designed to help administrators and educators develop their understanding of the 5D+ Teacher Evaluation Rubric and the 5 Dimensions of Teaching and Learning instructional framework. Learn more.

  • 5D+ Rater Reliability: Through collegial discussion of best practices in evaluation and calibration, evaluators become increasingly aligned in their calibration to the rubric. Learn more.
