ACT plans to launch a new assessment system aptly named, “Aspire” in Spring of 2014 as described in a recent press release.
Essentially the system will allow for the longitudinal collection of data from elementary (3rd grade) to high school providing a long term path ending in college readiness. ACT has partnered with Pearson for the development of the assessments which will be available in a digital formats to accommodate a number of devices and millions of students. Storing of results will be cloud based allowing immediate access to test results and the ability to quickly note gaps in student learning for re-teaching and remediation.
