Considering a Superintendency? Read This.

If you are thinking your career path may lead to a Superintendency, be sure to prepare yourself for this important move by completing the SUPES Academy. Completion of the SUPES Academy can be combined with MASA's Courageous Journey program for an endorsement to your Administrative Certificate. The SUPES Academy and Courageous Journey programs will allow you to further develop your leadership skills and to learn more about the role of the Superintendent. The SUPES Academy is limited to 45 qualified participants. Applicants must complete the application form and include a letter of nomination from their current District Superintendent. The nomination letter should address the applicant’s capacity to be an outstanding District leader. Each applicant must also identify a mentor currently serving as a Superintendent in a Michigan District who will provide coaching and feedback during the Academy experience. Graduate credits or SB-CEU’s may be earned for completion of the SUPES Academy.

Participation in the SUPES Academy partially fulfills requirements for the State of Michigan Superintendent endorsement.

Series Session Dates (This is a four-part series and you must attend all four sessions.)
