Did You Receive Your ACT Linkage Report?

Check your email! As a special benefit to MASSP members, ACT provides one free Linkage Report each year – a $200 value. Linkage Reports were emailed to MASSP members just before the holiday break so be sure to check your inbox. 

Please keep in mind that these reports contain large file attachments, so your email could have been intercepted as junk mail. Double-check to ensure that you received it!

What Are Linkage Reports?
Linkage reports provide a cohort analysis to measure your students’ growth on each assessment.  Your data CDs that came with your EXPLORE/PLAN reporting can also show linkages and might be a more flexible way to analyze your data.  Keep in mind that 100 percent of the students can never be matched for a variety of reasons, such as not using a consistent ID for each student, or students moving in or out of your school.

Some Notes About the Reports

EXPLORE-PLAN Linkage
We simply made a matching run, so yours could be 8th EXPLORE grade to 10th grade PLAN, or 9th grade EXPLORE to 10th grade PLAN, depending upon when you tested with EXPLORE. ACT does not link to PLAN given in other grades, such as 9th.

PLAN-ACT Linkage
ACT's normal matching process is to match 10th grade PLAN with the most recent graduating class (not the MME/ACT snapshot).  For clarity, the graduating class includes the last ACT taken by each student in your school, standard time only with ACT-approved accommodations.  Therefore, the available PLAN-ACT linkage matches to the Graduating Class of 2012.
