MASSP’s New Principal Bootcamp - THERE'S STILL ROOM!

There has been significant turnover in building level administrative positions around the State and it is time to round up this year’s troops for the 2012-13 New Principal’s Bootcamp.
MASSP offers a specialized program for new Principals and Assistant Principals titled, “Principal Bootcamp.” Bootcamp is an extensive support series focused on providing all of the must know information that new administrators need to succeed. All sessions are facilitated by Principals who have “walked the walk” and are ready to provide you with great ideas, practical suggestions and will also allow plenty of time for questions. Bootcamp is a safe environment for sharing where no question is a dumb question and a great network of support is established. During a debrief with last year’s participants the following statements were made, “I think this should be a required program for all new Principals.” and “The program provided me with everything I needed to get off to a good start.”
2012 Building Administrators face a wide variety of challenges: All new teacher evaluation legislation, changes in Ed Yes - School Improvement and AYP requirements along with ever increasing demands to improve student achievement. If you are a new building administrator, don’t take this challenge on without support. Regardless of your years of experience in education, coming into the position of Principal requires a new skill set and expertise. We will not only provide you with essential information, but you will also gain knowledge and practical “how to” implementation assistance. Additionally, all Bootcamp participants will receive support and mentoring from an experienced Principal in their geographic area.

We are running a second session of “Bootcamp Day 1” to accommodate late hires on September 19 to ensure that all new Principals get off to a successful start. Send in your registration today to join this special group. We look forward to supporting the work of the Principal and to getting to know our new crop of recruits.
