Each week, MASSP looks through all of the MDE communications sent to the field, including Memos and Spotlight, to ensure that you're aware of important information and deadlines. On Thursday, several MDE Memos were issued that you don't want to miss regarding Student Growth Reports and School and District Improvement Plans . Each memo can be found below.

MEMO #123-18
Upcoming Availability of EVAAS Student Growth Reports

The Office of Educator Excellence (OEE) strives to develop, support, and sustain a high-quality, prepared, and collaborative education workforce to support goal #3 of the Michigan Department of Education’s (MDE) Top 10 in 10 strategic plan. The MDE and OEE announce the upcoming availability of education value-added assessment system (EVAAS) web-based academic student growth reports. The MDE has contracted SAS to provide the report data as an option to meet educator needs for efficient access of effective student growth data for use within educator evaluations. EVAAS reports are not intended to replace reporting tools provided by the state such as MI School Data and Secure Site Dynamic Score Reports, but rather supplement these reports to provide a clear picture of academic growth and achievement.
