A new website is being launched this fall to help tell your good news stories about successful education practices that are getting results for students. The new site — the MiEducator Showcase — also aims to help educators across Michigan tap into new ideas for improvement and for helping Michigan reach its goal to become a Top 10 education state in 10 years.

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) has created the MiEducator Showcase to feature education programs and initiatives that are achieving success in schools and districts across Michigan and that are aligned to the goals of Michigan’s Top 10 in 10 Strategic Plan. The new website’s purpose is to share the good work taking place in Michigan’s schools and districts, so that others can find inspiration and information from successful practices already underway.

How MiEducator Showcase Works

The site is a peer-to-peer hub where Michigan educators can learn about successful practices and how they are being implemented across the state. The website is fully searchable by several data fields, including topical keyword tags and alignment to the Top 10 in 10 focus areas. With this information, educators can both locate and evaluate submitted practices that may be effective for their learners. Educators then are encouraged to contact the submitting peers directly to learn more about the implementation of the practice.

Educators Invited to Submit Their "Promising Practices"

The MDE is reaching out to educators and inviting them to submit and/or encourage staff to submit a successful program or initiative for inclusion on the site. They also encourage you to visit the site regularly to tap into the promising practices showing success across Michigan.

To learn more or to explore the promising practices submitted by Michigan educators, visit the MiEducator Showcase at www.michigan.gov/MiEducatorShowcase. More details and suggestions for high-quality submissions are provided in a one-page overview on the site.
