Your students and staff are gone for the summer and you finally have time to breathe! We hope you are taking some well deserved time off and recharging with friends and family. But we also know that this is the time of year when many building leaders finally have a chance to look forward at the next school year and start to plan.

As you plan ahead for 2017-18, we want to make sure that you don't forget to build in time to focus on your professional growth, which ultimately affects both teacher practice and student achievement. To grow your own professional development, MASSP offers a variety of high-quality workshop opportunities including PSAT/SAT Data Analysis, Observation and Formative Feedback, Growth Plans That Impact Teaching and Learning, Targeted Feedback, and more, plus multi-day conferences specific for building leaders. Many of these growth opportunities are already scheduled for the 2017-18 school year and can be found at mymassp.com/eventlist.

As you probably know, the MASSP leadership also team travels the state to facilitate these practical, interactive, face-to-face learning sessions at district and regional locations. Click here for MASSP's Course Guide to learn more about each of the opportunities offered. To discuss details, pricing and identify potential training dates for any of the trainings listed above, please contact Lu Schaibly, MASSP's Executive Assistant, at (517) 327-5315 or lu@michiganprincipals.org.

We look forward to continuing to support the important work you do every day to help deepen the expertise of teachers and engage students in high-quality learning. Have a great rest of the summer and we hope to see you soon!
