The Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals is pleased to announce the addition of Ryan Cayce, who will fill a new role as Director of Digital Learning & Resources. We hope you will join us in welcoming Ryan to the MASSP team.

Many of you know Ryan as your colleague, the current Principal at Ubly High School and the Middle Level Central Representative on the MASSP Board of Directors, but you may not be familiar with his strong technology background.

With 11 years in public education, Ryan began his career as a business teacher with a full schedule of business and technology classes at Croswell-Lexington High School and coached basketball for six years. When Ryan became the Assistant Principal at Cros-Lex they were early adopters of a 1:1 initiative and he was instrumental in the transition and training of teacher and staff. Cros-Lex also introduced a senior portfolio project and Ryan was the lead on that work.

He holds a Bachelor's in Business Education from Western Michigan University and a Master's in Public Administration from U of M-Flint. Having served as both an Assistant Principal and Principal, Ryan has the knowledge not only to facilitate the development of content but to also be a content creator. In his new role, Ryan will be heading up several new online learning projects, launching MASSP's Digital Learning Network and will also lead the transition to a new MASSP website.

Ryan lives in his hometown of Port Sanilac and enjoys spending time with his wife, Amanda, and four children, Rozlynn, Piper, Beckett, and Paxton. As a family, they like to go camping, boating, and watching the Detroit Lions. In his free time, Ryan also enjoys golf and basketball, as well as playing guitar. He is in a rock and roll cover band called "The Hooligans" and can be seen playing at various festivals and events in the thumb.

Ryan will officially assume his full time duties as Director of Digital Learning & Resources in the coming weeks following a transition from his current position. Ryan can be reached at ryan@michiganprincipals.org.
