Opportunities for Your Student Advisers

The MASC/MAHS Adviser Academies are opportunities for advisers of student programs and activities to develop their co-curricular advising skills and run programs of high quality and maximum efficiency. All four sessions will include curriculum that will apply to ALL advisers on budgeting, student engagement, year-long calendar planning, leadership curriculum, engaging the WHOLE student body, and best practices for logistics and process management. The afternoon of each session will focus on SPECIFICS of the job with class sponsors, student governments, leadership class teachers, and honor society advisers each receiving job-relevant information.

The dates have been set for fall 2012, with regional sessions being offered at the following locations:

  • Lansing, September 26th, 2012
  • Hudsonville, October 2, 2012
  • Auburn Hills, October 3, 2012
  • Gaylord, October 5th, 2012
