The 2019 MASC/MAHS Michigan Student Leadership State Conference is right around the corner on March 23-25, 2019 and registration opened this morning at 10 a.m.! Each year, more than 100 schools and 2,000 student leaders from across the state gather in celebration of strong school programming, while learning new concepts focused around increasing the influence they hold over their own school's culture.

This annual conference has grown exponentially over the past five years, as we continue to bring in the top educational leadership keynote speakers, provide multiple curricular-based structured activities and provide student leaders a platform to expand their voice in educational excellence, all while learning new program ideas during our Student Showcase sessions and Michigan Student Voice competitions.

This year's host school, Allen Park High School, has been working with the MASC/MAHS Michigan Student Leadership staff for the past 11 months in preparation of the 2019 State Conference. Their conference theme "Take Me to Your Leader" will provide a heavy focus on communication philosophy and techniques that can be put into action in one's classwork, community and career aspirations. This concept is also reflected in our host school's selection of nationally recognized keynote speakers: Brandon Lee White, Tei Street and Houston Kraft, as well as their selection for our 2019 State Charity of the Year: Leader Dogs for the Blind. This program line-up provides countless positive and influential experiences for students to experience and ultimately bring back to your campus.

Another huge advantage to attending this conference is our full-day Adviser Workshop. Each year, we create an entire session for school advisers that runs side-by-side with our student programming. Advisers hear from colleagues in Michigan and other states to expand on their current programming, culture and leadership curricular agendas currently being facilitated in your buildings. This program also provides the opportunity to network with over 150 other school advisers during our Leader-to-Leader sharing session. Sharing the very best of Michigan educational leadership.

Registration for the 2019 Student State Leadership Conference is now open! Space is limited on a first-come, first-served basis. Please make sure to register your student leaders early.
