Tell Us About Your All-Star Students - Introducing the "Public Education Believes In Me" Campaign

Many successful lives and career paths had their beginnings in a Michigan public school. As building administrators, you have the unique opportunity to forge relationships with many of your students, giving you the chance to see them transform, achieve and succeed. We believe it’s time we highlighted their stories – and you can help!

Our colleagues at the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) have created the "Public Education Believes in Me" program to collect the stories of our Michigan public education all-stars and then share the top stories in a statewide campaign designed to inform, bring awareness and improve the opinion of public education.

The program aims to highlight a graduate who has accomplished something GREAT: such as overcoming a great hurdle, becoming a local hero, succeeding in business, mentoring children, starting their own business, saving a life, building a park in their hometown, cleaning up a lake, or even being the first person in their family to attend and finish college. Simply put, we're seeking stories that truly highlight their success because of the opportunity that a public education gave them.

Keep in mind that success comes in many different varieties. Nominees can be the rich and the famous, but also for the quieter successes of those who simply made a difference in someone’s life. It doesn’t matter how long ago a candidate graduated – it only matters that they attended a Michigan public school.

MASSP fully supports honoring the best and the brightest of Michigan public school graduates and we hope you'll take a moment to share your talented graduates' stories. Thank you in advance for your time and cooperation. Together we can elevate public education and give it the recognition it so richly deserves!
