Who Is Your Go-To?

If someone were to ask you, "Who is your go-to person at work?" Many administrators would immediately say their secretary's name. A good secretary can make a Principal's life better and make them a more effective leader. In most cases, school secretaries get very little training and they hone their skills on the job - leaving them open to gaps in both knowledge and skill.

MASSP is partnering with MASA to offer an awesome learning opportunity just for building and central office administrative assistants. We have a number of fantastic sessions planned focused on:

  • Legal updates and changes pertinent to the work of secretaries
  • The importance of customer service and good communication skills
  • Technology tips, such as functioning in the Cloud and calendaring
  • Social media tips and tricks for schools

It is always important to be mindful of what we ask employees to do and if they have been properly trained to meet these expectations. Many secretaries are in need of support to continue to grow professionally and to support the work of their administrators. Please consider sending your building and central office assistants to this great day of learning on October 24.
