MASSP Administrator of the Year Awards

Now that school is out, take a little time to nominate the 2007 -2008 MASSP Administrators of the Year in the following categories:
High School Principal of the Year
Middle Level Principal of the Year
CTE Administrator of the Year
Assistant Principal of the Year
The criteria for selection is as follows:
• Principal nominations must have at least five years of experience in their position.
• Assistant Principal must have at least three years of experience in their position.
• Principal/Assistant Principal must work in a school serving a combination of grades 6-12.
• CTE nominations must have at least five years of experience in their position.
• CTE nominations must have CTE program administration as their primary responsibility.
• In addition to local program oversight, CTE nominations must exhibit statewide or regional leadership activities.
• Nominee must be an active MASSP member.
Nominees for High School Principal of the Year, Middle Level Principal of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year will represent Michigan in the national NASSP Principal of the Year programs. They will be honored at our Annual Convention or AP Fall Conference.
Applications are kept on file for three years, so if you have already nominated your principal in the past three years, there is no need to submit a new application. All applications are due in the MASSP office by June 30, 2007. Let’s take time to recognize the outstanding work of our Michigan principals!
