Region 6 consists of the counties of Clinton, Shiawassee, Eaton, Ingham, Livingston and Jackson.

Do you have an exam exemption policy at your school?
We have had a policy in place for several years that rewards good attendance (with a few other stipulations). They can exempt one exam of their choice if they qualify. I'm wondering if this is allowed under the new graduation requirements?
Meeting at Summer Retreat
Jody McKean, Region 6 Chair, will be hosting an informational meeting at 4:30 p.m. in the Atrium (Conference Center) to become familiar with one another and share ideas about meetings throughout the upcoming school year. This meeting should last no more than 20 minutes.
Collaborative Date Set
We will be meeting at CHAMPPS restaurant in the Eastwood Towne Center @ 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29 to discuss information from our recent Board meeting and share ideas/questions/concerns with one another. Please pass this along to your Region 6 colleagues.

Collaborative Opportunity!
I've been meaning to get a message out to Region 6 members to gather feedback on any questions, problems, or concerns you may have with many of the new mandates. I would like to suggest an "informal" gathering to discuss these items and then schedule/host a more formal presentation with support from outside guests.
Please post your responses on this Region 6 site...we are having a Board meeting next week and I would like to take your issues to the decision makers.
Also, where and when would be a desirable place to meet. I will pick up the tab...

I found district administrators and the board of education posted on YouTube. Have you experienced something similar?
The videos are not threatening. In addition to "tightening up" our cell phone/electronic devices policy and its enforcement, I'm looking for some policy guidelines or something similar to reduce the likelihood this happens again.
Background check policy
Please share your policies you may have developed or implemented for employees/volunteers district-wide regarding background checks, etc.
End of Course Assessments
I am trying to access the assessments that have been released for Algebra, Geometry, and English 9 on the OEAA secured site. I have been to the Student Search page, but do not see them. Any suggestions?
looking for a long term sub
We are looking for an English or Social Studies qualified long term sub between Christmas Break and March 7. If you have a referral (maybe a strong student teacher that just finished up?), please let me know or have them get in contact with me.
